Sarah Waters Reed, age 78, of Rutherfordton, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Dan and Nellie Johnson Waters. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Reed; a daughter Patricia England; two brothers Donald Waters and Sherman Waters. Sarah was a member of Sandy Level Baptist Church and was retired from Broyhill. Survivors include: Two Daughters: Wanda D Owens and her husband Julius of Forest City Kay Reed of Rutherfordton Three sisters: Dorothy Hudgins Diane Pruett Carolyn Bright Two grandchildren Four great grandchildren Three great-great grandchildren The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Sandy Level Baptist Church. The funeral service will be 1:00 PM June 29, 2017 at Sandy Level Baptist Church with Reverend David Barton officiating. Interment will be at Sandy Level Baptist Church Cemetery, Bostic, NC. The family is at the home of Julius and Wanda Owens.
