Sherry Ownbey Johnson, age 46, died Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Mission Hospitals in Asheville, NC.

Sherry was a native of Rutherford County and a member of Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church. Sherry loved being a "Honey" to her granddaughter Jentrie. She loved watching her girls play softball and she was a huge Clemson Tiger fan.

She is survived by her loving husband: Chad Johnson.

Two Daughters: Brooke Sylvester and her husband Adam Bryce Johnson

Mother and step-father: Marie Wright and Roger Wright. Father and step-mother: Jimmy Ownbey and Brenda Ownbey. Two Sisters: Angie Wright and her husband Ronnie Amy Arrowood and her husband Sandy

One Step-sister: Brittnye Lee

One grandchild: Jentrie Sylvester

One Niece: Casey Sisk Two Nephews: Joshua Wright, and Branndon Arrowood

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church. The funeral service will be at Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 21, 2020 with Reverend Jamie Pascarella and Reverend Jack Crain officiating.
