Shirley Mae Duncan Shehan, age 71, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Mitchell County and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rutherfordton and worked for Southern Bell and some local trucking companies in Rutherford County and was a mom. She was preceded in death by her father Millard Ed Duncan. She is survived by her husband: William Hicks Shehan of Rutherfordton Mother: Bertie Duncan of Spruce Pine Two Sons: Van Shehan and wife Susan of Spindale Kevin Shehan and wife Lisa of Rutherfordton Daughter: Dewanna Campbell and husband Kevin of Rutherfordton Three Granddaughters Kasey Shehan, Sidney Campbell and Kristin Shehan One Sister: Katie Kirton and husband Keith of Burnsville, NC One Brother: Dale Duncan and wife Angie of Spruce Pine, NC The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church in Rutherfordton. The funeral service will follow in the church at 4:00 PM with Rev. Billy E. Vaughn and Rev. Clifford Bradshaw officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church 224 Chimney Rock Road Rutherfordton NC 28139 or to the M.S. Society Greater Carolinas Chapter 3101 Industrial Drive Suite 210 Raleigh NC 27609. The family will be at the daughters home 140 Fleming Drive in Rutherfordton.
