Shirley Mae Duncan Shehan, age 71, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Mitchell County and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rutherfordton and worked for Southern Bell and some local trucking companies in Rutherford County and was a mom. She was preceded in death by her father Millard Ed Duncan. She is survived by her husband: William Hicks Shehan of Rutherfordton Mother: Bertie Duncan of Spruce Pine Two Sons: Van Shehan and wife Susan of Spindale Kevin Shehan and wife Lisa of Rutherfordton Daughter: Dewanna Campbell and husband Kevin of Rutherfordton Three Granddaughters Kasey Shehan, Sidney Campbell and Kristin Shehan One Sister: Katie Kirton and husband Keith of Burnsville, NC One Brother: Dale Duncan and wife Angie of Spruce Pine, NC The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church in Rutherfordton. The funeral service will follow in the church at 4:00 PM with Rev. Billy E. Vaughn and Rev. Clifford Bradshaw officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
