Shirley Brock Evans, age 84, of Spindale, NC, died Sunday, November 4, 2018, at White Oak Manor in Rutherfordton, NC. She was a native of Chesnee, SC and the daughter of the late Columbus Lenza Brock and the late Mary Holcombe Brock. She was a member of Spindale United Methodist Church but had been attending Gilboa United Methodist Church. Shirley was co-owner of Evans Department Stores for many years and later was involved with insurance and real estate sales. She was preceded in death by one daughter Susan Lavon Foster and three sisters; Josephine Phillips, Lucille Jernigan and Lib Harmon and one brother Bob Brock. She is survived by her husband of sixty two years Bennett L. Evans. One Son: Hank Evans and his wife Laura Two Sisters: Alfa Mae Mckinney Gail Davis Four Grandchildren: Kasey Hughes, Zac Crowder, Bennett W.
