The Lord called Jean home on a beautiful Sunday morning of July 21st, 2024, at the age of 88.

Born in Kings Mountain, NC, she lived in Virginia Beach, VA as a Navy wife, and later retired to Union Mills, NC.

She held several jobs in her life. She was a housekeeper at The Henderson Inn in NC and served 11 years as a school bus assistant with the VA Beach City Public Schools. However, the job she did best was as a beloved wife and mother, and in caring for others. She was also an excellent gardener, and always filled her world with flowers.

She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Ray Haulk, and her son, Raymond ray Haulk II. She is survived by her son, Robert D. Haulk, and her daughter, Kim McDonald (Gary), and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jean will be laid to rest next to her husband and son at Round Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Union Mills, NC. The graveside service will be held in the church cemetery at 10:30AM Saturday, August 10, 2024, with Pastor Ernie Holland officiating. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
