Steve "Dimmer" Dimsdale, age 77, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Hospice House of Carolina Foothills.

He was the son of the late Odell Dimsdale and Cordie McDaniel Dimsdale and a native Rutherford County.  Steve was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  He worked in the trucking industry.  Steve loved to tell stories and make people laugh.  He was preceded in death by his brothers; Arnold, Eugene, Homer and Morris Dimsdale.

He is survived by his wife: Lois White Dimsdale. One Daughter: Donna Dimsdale Housman and her husband Eric of Concord, NC

Two Sons: Greg Dimsdale and his wife Donna of Inman, SC Jeff Dimsdale and his wife Rhonda of Woodruff, SC

Sister: Sylvia Whitener of Forest City. Seven Grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The graveside service will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 26, 2021, with Reverend James Henson and Reverend William Swink officiating.  Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Carolina Foothills; P O Box 336; Forest City, NC 28043.  McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
