Steven Alan Hardin, age 64, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Saturday, March 7, 2020.

He was the son of the late Willard and Evelyn Reid Stofer Hardin and was a native of Rutherford County.  Steven retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation in 2004 with 30 years of service.  He enjoyed farming in his retirement.  He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Brackett Hardin. He is survived by:

One Sister: Linda Hardin Williams and her husband David. Nieces:  Amy Williams and Emily Williams. Great niece, Everly Williams. Special friend and caregiver:  Jean Hill.  Aunt Hazel Calloway.  Special Cousin Leila Anne Humphries and a number of other nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, Wednesday, March 11. The Funeral service will be at Montford Cove Baptist Church at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, March 11, 2020 with Reverend Shawn Berryhill and Reverend Jack Crain officiating.
