Susan Miner Keith, age 69, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, at her home.

She was the daughter of the late Robert and Grace Miner, on September 2, 1952, and she was a native of Norfolk, VA. Susan was a member of The Order of Daughters of the King®, and she was very involved with the Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity organization. Susan was passionate about animal rescue and at one time had a dog daycare with her husband John. She was a lifelong Episcopalian.

She is survived by her loving husband, John B. Keith. one daughter, Rebecca F.  Melton, one brother, James R. Miner, of Athens, AL, two grandchildren, Grace M. Waters, and Caroline D. Melton, one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Waters, and caregiver, Gary Childress.

The memorial service celebrating her life will be Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 2:00PM at St. Francis Episcopal Church, in Rutherfordton, NC with Reverend Toni Belhu officiating. Interment will be in the memorial garden at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity; 269 W. Main Street, Forest City, NC  28043 in memory of Susan Keith.
