Susie Lynn Stafford Ford, age 69, of Rutherfordton, NC, went home to be with Jesus Monday, December 30, 2024, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

A native of  Rutherford County, Susie was the daughter of the late Vance and Tennie Stafford. Susie was faithful member at Pilgrims Way Baptist Church. She was a God-fearing woman and a prayer warrior for many. Susie was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Susie never met a stranger, she has too many friends to count, and she will be greatly missed that all that knew her. In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her siblings, Junior Tolley, JD Tolley, Hazel Atchley, Linda Shue, Edna Atkins, Kaye Linder, and Doris Atchley.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 29 years, Tim Ford, her son, Pastor Wayne Stafford and his wife Kara, her daughter, Cynthia Lynn Pritchard, son-in-law, Kelly Pritchard, her two step-daughters, Leah Ford, and Tabitha Cogdell and her husband Josh, her sister, Faye Smith and her husband Perry, ten grandchildren, Savannah Stafford, Elijah Stafford, Johannah Stafford, and Josiah Stafford, Alexas Pritchard, Gabe Pritchard and his wife Rebekah, and Coleman Pritchard, Logan Hildebran, Kinsley Penson, and Kyah Cogdell, and two great-grandchildren, Kenna Jolley and JD Pritchard.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, January 3, 2025, at Pilgrims Way Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at Pilgrims Way Baptist  Church  at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 4, 2025, with Pastor Wayne Stafford, Pastor Keith Russell, Pastor Hunter Park, and Brother Curtis Laughter.  The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service.   Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pilgrims Way Baptist Church, 485 Hamilton Rd. Rutherfordton, NC 28139. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
