Teresa Marlowe Steppe, age 64, of Rutherfordton, NC, went Home to be with the Lord Friday, September 22, 2023, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

A native of Rutherford County Teresa was the daughter of John G. Marlowe and the late Sarah Maxwell. In addition to her mother, Teresa was preceded in death by her husband William "Bruce" Steppe.

In addition to her father, Teresa is survived by one daughter, Kristina Steppe Smith, and husband Thomas, one son, William "Billy" Steppe, and wife Hannah, two sisters, Anita Buchanan and husband Denver, Alicia Cantrell and husband Wayne, her brother Johnny Marlowe, and wife Danielle, four grandchildren, William Smith, Chris Smith, Kat Steppe, and Mina Steppe.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at McMahan's Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Forest City, NC. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
