Terry Alvin Vinson of Belton, SC and formerly of Tignall, GA passed away at Hospice House in Forest City, NC. on December 4, 2020 and was buried at Greenville Memorial Gardens on December 9, 2020. Due to COVID, there was not a receiving of friends or funeral or graveside service at this time. He was the son of the late Harry Norman and Anna Lou Vinson of Tignall, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Elaine Carlton Vinson and his brother Gene Vinson. He is survived by his daughter Terri and husband Eric Wells and grandchildren, Jake and Lesley Ann Wells, his sister Ruth Kortrey, brother Jerry Vinson & family, nephews Ken Davis and wife Barbara, Greg Vinson and wife Clara, and nieces Tina Vinson, and Angie Reames and Husband Larry, great nieces Nina Posey, Amber Sullivan, and Angel Yannuzzi and great nephews Gregory, Jr., Christopher and Nathaniel Vinson, LJ and Jacob Fernandez, and Alex Quarles. He was a retired conductor for CSX Railroad. After retirement from CSX, he worked as a courier for ADP and for the past 10 years, he operated a landscaping business providing bush hog and tractor services. He loved meeting new people and working outside. He was active in the Fork Shoals Community Watch program. Memorials can be made to the American Lung Association at www.lung.org designated to treatment of Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) and COPD or to a charity of your choice.
