Tony Heffner, age 64, of Gilkey, NC, died Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at his home.

He is the son of Raymond Heffner and the late Libby Lane Heffner and was a native of Rutherford County. Tony worked at Butler's Jewelry and Loan in Forest City.  He was also preceded in death by a sister Karen Cuthbertson.  Tony was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He enjoyed fishing Lake Lure and Lake Norman.  He loved to be in the outdoors enjoying nature.

In addition to his father, Tony is survived by his wife, Tammy W. Heffner, one daughter, Ashley Heffner, one son, Michael Heffner, granddaughters, Briana Heffner, and Marley Haynes, and one sister, Debbie O'Toole.

A gathering and visitation time will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Saturday, June 17, 2023, at McMahan's Funeral Home. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
