Virginia Stepp Seay, age 91, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late Carl & Nellie Stepp and a native of Swain County.  Virginia was the widow of the late Jim Seay. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and she had many friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Jones (Tim), Brenda Lee (Bruce), two sons, Danny Seay (Anne), Terry Seay (Dawn), one brother, Douglas Stepp, eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be held Monday, January 24, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McMahan's Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 25, 2022, with Reverend James Henson, Reverend William Swink, and Reverend Ricky Stepp officiating.  Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Church; 563 Pleasant Hill Church Road; Rutherfordton, NC 28139.  McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
