Willie Hardin Hodge Boone, age 83, of Rutherfordton, NC, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.

A native of Rutherford County, Willie was the daughter of the late Columbus Bryan Hardin Sr. and the late Josephine "Josie" Lane Hardin. Willie was a lifelong member at Piney Knob Baptist Church. She loved her family and her church family dearly, she will be missed by all that knew her. In addition to her parents, Willie was preceded in death by her first husband, Dolphus Hicks Hodge, her siblings, Viola Humphries, Roy Hardin, Garland Hardin, and C.B. Hardin Jr., and her son, Darren Hicks Hodge.

Willie is survived by her husband, Jerry Boone Jr., her children, Deneen Cook and her husband David, Barbara Boone-Deal, Jerry Sherman Boone Jr III and his wife Cheryl, Scott Boone and his wife Sherry, Jesse Boone and his wife Carrie, her two sisters, Virginia "Gin" Lawter, and Alma Haynes, her grandchildren, Phillip Arrowood and his wife Amaris, Aaron Arrowood, Cody Arrowood and his wife Jessica, Dustin Cook and his wife Taylor, Cory Cook, Josh Fisher and his wife Geena, Adam Greene and wife Francesca, Noah Hardin, David Boone, Daniel Boone, Brannon White and his wife Charity, Brett White and his wife Casey, Brandon Boone and his wife Tori, Baylee Boone Whitesides and her husband Kyle, Madison Allred Boone, Mackenzie Boone, Morgan Boone, Mason Boone and her great-grandchildren, Landen Fisher, Camren Fisher, and Nova Arrowood, Alana Boone, Adalynn Boone, Hayden Patrick, Maddox Patrick, and Olivia Boone.

Willie will lie-in-state from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM, Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Piney Knob Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at Piney Knob Baptist Church at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 7, 2025, with Reverend Jamie Pascarella, and Reverend Casey Stockton officiating. Interment will be private in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Piney Knob Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1534 Piney Knob Road; Rutherfordton, NC 28139. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
