Yates "Curley" Williams, age 85, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Mission Hospital Memorial Campus in Asheville.

He was the son of the late Lester  Williams and the late Alice Arrowood Williams.  In addition to his parents, Curley was preceded in death by his wife Helen Irene William. Curley was a member of Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church. He was a native of Rutherford County, and a U.S. Army Veteran.

Survivors include, one son, Bill Williams.

The graveside service will be at Southern Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 21, 2021 with Reverend Jack Crain officiating. Inurnment will be at Southern Baptist Church Cemetery, Rutherfordton, NC with Military Honors by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
