Barbara Moore Jones

Barbara Moore Jones, age 81, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away and was reunited with her husband Joe, Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Brookview Healthcare Center in Gaffney, SC.

A native of Rutherford County, Barbara was the daughter of the late Clifford and Mildred Moore. Barbara was a member of First Baptist Church in Rutherfordton, and she was also a DAR member, Daughters of the American Revolution. Barbara adored and loved her golden retriever Cammie. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Grady Jones, and by her dear nephew, Jeffrey Shawn Jones.

Barbara is survived by, two daughters, Beverly Jones Bentley (Mike), and Annette Moore Jones (Lanny Walker), one sister, Sybil Moore Watts (John), one granddaughter, Anna Micheal Bentley, one niece, Scotti Jones Lamutt (David), two Godchildren, Lauren Tilden, and Evan Lamutt, and many other loving family members.

The graveside service will be at Rutherfordton City Cemetery at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 8, 2023, with Reverend Beth Heffner officiating. The family will greet friends after the service in the cemetery. Interment will be at Rutherfordton City Cemetery.
