Carl Waters

Carl Jay Waters, age 64, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021. 

He was born on February 10, 1957 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. He was the son of late Lewis Lee and Julie Elizabeth Waters. He will also be joining his siblings Ronald, Joe, Ricky and Lisa in heaven. 

He was the beloved husband of Patricia Diane Waters for 46 years. Carl was a loving father to his two children, Christopher Jay Waters and Misty Waters Rogers, and a devoted pawpaw to his five grandchildren, Makayla, Brittany, Maris, William, and Brayden. He is survived by his siblings Wade, Jeanette, Mary, Donna, Troy, and Jimmy. Carl leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

For 33 years, he was proud to have worked as a textile worker and lab technician. However, he was most proud to have his grandchildren. Carl enjoyed spending time and cooking for his family and friends. Carl spent many hours giving back to others; he was always willing to help people and animals in need. He was an example of Christ’s unconditional love for us all. 

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Main Street Baptist Church. The funeral service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Main Street Baptist Church with Reverend Dale DuBose officiating. Interment will be at Fellowship Holiness Church Cemetery, Rutherfordton, NC. An online guest register is available at www.mcmahansfuneralhome.com.
