Carrie Peeler Ruff, age 94, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Holly Springs Senior Home. She was the daughter of the late Michael David Peeler and the late Minnie Gilbert Peeler. Carrie was the widow of the late Rev. Wade Ruff. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, member of the WMU and a devoted pastors wife. She was also a member of the Stringfield Music Club. She was preceded in death by one son, Tim Ruff. She is survived by: Two Daughters: Jennifer Ruff Richard, Rutherfordton, NC Brenda Ruff Terry and her husband Jake of Forest City, NC Three Sons: Steve D. Ruff and his wife Rebecca of Spindale, NC Jerry Ruff and his wife Martha of Rutherfordton, NC Phil Ruff, Rutherfordton, NC Nine Grand Children Fifteen Great-Grand Children Sister-in-law Emma Hall of Rutherfordton The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM, Saturday, prior to the service in the church family life center. The body will lie in state in the church sanctuary during visitation. Funeral service will be at Second Baptist of Rutherfordton at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 3, 2012 with Dr. Keith Stephenson, Rev. Brandon Wood and Rev. Terry Honeycutt officiating. Interment will be at Rutherfordton City Cemetery, Rutherfordton, NC.
