Dorothy Williams Briscoe, age 80, of Forest City, NC, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Oak Springs Baptist Church and served as church organist and assistant pianist for many years. Dorothy was retired from Mastercraft. She was preceded in death by three sisters; Faye Washburn, Iva Williams and Bernice Williams. She is survived by her husband of 62 years of marriage Jack Simpson Briscoe. One Daughter: Evelyn Langley and her husband Nelson of Old Fort, NC One Son: Jack Stewart Briscoe and his wife Sandra of Rutherfordton, NC Two granddaughters; Kate Hayes and Rosemary Grant and one great granddaughter Lilly Grant Two Sisters: Frances Shepard, Bostic, NC Hazel Shires, Forest City, NC One Brother: Paul Williams, Raleigh, NC The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Oak Springs Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at Oak Springs Baptist Church at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 9, 2013 with Rev. Ray Hooper Rev. Don Hollifield and Rev. Dr. Robert Toney officiating. Interment will be at Oak Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
