George "Pops" Franklin Keever, age 88, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.

A native of Rutherford County, George was the son of the late Jesse and Myrtle Keever.

In addition to his parents George was preceded in death by two daughters, Angela Keever, and Susan Blackwelder, two sisters, and ten brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Julia L. Keever, two sons, Gary Keever, and his wife Michele, Tracy Keever, and his wife Lisa, one brother, Claude Keever, and his wife Geneva, six grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043. McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
