Geraldine Hill Hooper, age 77, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Oak Grove Health Care Center. A native of Rutherford County she was the daughter of the late Claude and Bessie Hill. Geraldine was a member of Forest Lake Baptist Church and had worked in textiles and for Fast Food Merchandising and was also a homemaker. She was the widow of Orice D. Hooper and was preceded in death by her son Jerry Hooper and brothers John Calvin "J.C.", Leroy, George, Bill, and Julius Hill. She is survived by One Daughter: Bobbie Shannon of Tryon, NC One Son: William Hooper of Asheville, NC Numerous nieces and nephews The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Friday, December 27, 2013 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Wayne Toney officiating. Interment will be at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
