Jeffrey "Crunk" James, age 43, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. He was a U S Army and Navy veteran serving three combat tours of duty. Jeff was a youth sports coach and served as a volunteer boxing coach. He was involved in the Youth Enpowerment for Cleveland and Rutherford Counties. Crunk was known as a father figure to many youth in the community. Many knew him as a gentle giant. He was a loving father, beloved husband, son brother and friend. Crunk was an independent professional wrestler and enjoyed life to its maximum potential. He is survived by his wife; Alicia James. Danny McCain, Rev. Jerry Vess and Preston Holland officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Visitation will follow the Military Honors in the church Family Life Center.
