Jonas Lane, age 84, of Rutherfordton died Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. A native of Rutherford County he was the son of the late Adam and Julie McEntire Lane. Jonas had retired from Spindale Mills and was a member of Piney Knob Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife: Grace Haynes Lane and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, March 18, 2013 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be at Piney Knob Baptist Church at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, March 19, 2013 with Rev. Mike Brown, Rev. Rick Wall and Rev. Jerry Campbell officiating.
