Jonas L. Sims, age 84, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Monday, September 6, 2010, at his home in Rutherfordton, NC. He was the son of the late Sidney Sims and the late Eva Guffey Sims. Widower of the late Dorothy Thompson Sims. He was a native of Rutherford County. He is survived by One Daughter: Bobbie Sims Atchley, Union Mills, NC Two Sons: Wayne Sims, Rutherfordton, NC Ernest Sims, Rutherfordton, NC Two Sisters: Rena Mae Auten, Kannapolis, NC Dorothy Earley, Marion, NC One Brother: Paul Sims, Rutherfordton, NC Five Grand Children Five Great-Grand Children Arrangements are being handled by McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services, where the family will receive friends from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, Tuesday. Graveside service will be at Sunset Memorial Park at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, September 7, 2010, Rev. William Swink officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, Forest City, NC.
