Joseph J. Rue age, 84 of DesAllemands, LA, died Friday, August 29, 2014. He was the son of the late Bert Rue and the late Annie Mae Mask Rue. Joe was a native of Forest City and a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife Sara Lee Shehan Rue. He is survived by six daughters: Jolisa Massie, Lena Kees, Sheri Morgan, Mary Bradner, Loretta Hernandez, Nancy Rue; one son, Paul Rue; (unofficially) adopted daughter, Diahann Dufresne; five sons-in-law; one daughter-in-law; 23 Grandchildren; 31 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren. The funeral service will be at Calvary Baptist Church at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 6, 2014 with Rev. Rick Wall and Bro. Doug Massie officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The visitation will be Friday, September 5, 2014 at McMahan's Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Grandsons JJ Foss, Miles Foss, Joseph Morgan, Christopher Morgan, Matthew Morgan, Robert Rue, Adam Rue and Randy Rue.
