Joseph "Joe" Grady Jones

CHURCH FUNERAL FOR JOE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO A GRAVESIDE SERVICE ONLY AT 3;00 PM .  THERE WILL BE NO FORMAL VISITATION .

Joseph "Joe" Grady Jones, age 82, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. 

He was the son of the late Jasper Grady and Minnie Agnes Jones, and he was a native of Rutherford County. Joe enjoyed being a little league coach and being a member of the Kiwanis Club. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Rutherfordton. Joe loved his dog Cammie very much; she was a golden retriever. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by two brothers, B. Frank Jones, and Robert Norris Jones, and one special aunt, Adna Norris. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Moore Jones, two daughters, Beverly Jones Bentley and husband Mike, and Annette Moore Jones, and Lanny, one granddaughter, Anna Micheal Bentley, and several other loving family members. 

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 12, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Rutherfordton sanctuary.  The funeral service will be at First Baptist Church of Rutherfordton at 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 12, 2021 with Reverend Tim Marsh and Reverend  Sal Barone officiating. Masks and social distancing are requested at all services. Interment will follow at Rutherfordton City Cemetery.
