Joyce Scoggin "Butch" Tate, age 81, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at Hospice House of Rutherford County. A native of Rutherford County, Joyce was the daughter of the late William Gordon Scoggin and the late Zeruah Guffey Scoggin. She was a member of Round Hill Baptist Church and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. She was preceeded in death by her husband Bobby Gerald Tate, two brothers and 4 sisters. She is also survived by One Son: Reece Tate and wife Kim of Forest City One Brother: Ronald Scoggin and wife Rebecca of Morganton Two Grand Children: Jonathon Tate and Jennifer Fowler and husband Jason. Two Great-Grand Children The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Friday, November 7, 2014 at Round Hill Baptist Church in Union Mills. The funeral will be at the church at 3pm November 7, 2014 with Rev. Wade Huntley officiating. Memorials may be made to Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home at 1881 Big Island Rd.
