Laura "Kay" Hensley-Davis

Kay Hensley Davis, age 60, of Union Mills, NC, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Atrium Health Carolina's Medical Center Main in Charlotte, NC.

A native of Rutherford County, Kay was the daughter of Arnold Hensley, and the late Lois Hensley. Some things Kay loved to do were crochet, go to her "second" home at the beach, and shag dance with her friends. In addition to her mother, Kay was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pansy Briscoe, Cleo and OT Wright, and several aunts and uncles.

In addition to her father, Arnold Hensley of Union Mills, Kay is survived by her longtime companion of 22 years, Charles Proctor, two sons, Josh Davis (Cheryl) of Cane Creek, Jordan Davis (Talia) of Cane Creek, one brother, Darrin Hensley of Waxhaw, four grandchildren, Addison Davis, Brantley Davis, Jeremiah Davis, and Waylon Davis.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, April 14, 2023, at McMahan's Funeral Home. The graveside service will be at Oak Springs Baptist Church Cemetery at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 15, 2023 with Reverend Donald Morrison officiating. Interment will follow. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
