Lee Roy Laughter, age 65, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Friday, December 24, 2010, at Rutherford Hospital. He was a native of Rutherford County He was the son of Junior Laughter of the White House Community and the late Colene McEntire Laughter. Lee Roy was retired from the N.C. DOT after 34 years of service, 1963 Graduate of R-S Central and a member of the Gilkey Church of God. Mr. Laughter was preceded in death by his daughter Melissa Laughter. Surviving besides his father are: His Wife: Nettie Bradley Laughter of Rutherfordton. One Daughter: Tonya Frazier and husband Joe of Rutherfordton One Son: Todd Laughter and wife Chrystal, Rutherfordton, NC Two Granddaughters: Lindsay and Macy Frazier One Brother: Floyd Laughter, Rutherfordton, NC The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, December 27, 2010 at McMahan's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at Gilkey Church of God at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 28, 2010 with the Revs. Ricky Hudson, Darryl Wright and Doug Carpenter officiating. Interment will be at Gilkey Church of God Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Hands of Hope for Life Pregnancy Center 129 N. Powell Street Forest City NC 28043.
