Lorene Padgett Hopson, age 87, of Union Mills, NC, died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Hospice House of Rutherford County. She was a native of Rutherford County. Lorene was daughter of the late George & Minnie Wilson Padgett. She was preceded in death by her brothers; Guy Padgett, Rev. Wilson Padgett, Yates Padgett, Jim Padgett, Hugh Padgett and sisters; Beth Small, Vera Fontana, Gladys Groves. She is survived by her husband; Roy (Hoppy) Hopson. Two Daughters: Teresa Hopson La Rue and husband Larry, Union Mills, NC Pam Hopson Johnson and husband Dave, Union Mills, NC One Grandson, Wayne Johnson The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Thursday, prior to the service at McMahan's. Funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 28, 2011 with Rev. Terry Howell officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
