Mary Pat Thrift

Mary Pat Thrift, age 71, of Rutherfordton, NC went to be with the Lord October 18, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Betty Brashears and she was a native of Baltimore, MD. Mary spent a lot of her life in Baltimore, MD where she raised her children, and then later moved to Rutherford County. 

She was a member of Fellowship Holiness Church, strong in her faith, and she was ready to meet her Savior. Mary worked at Scoggins Seafood & Steakhouse for many years as a waitress, where she met many people. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her first granddaughter, Emily Renee Dean, and two brothers, Joey and Chucky Brashears. 

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Gary D. Thrift, one daughter, Melissa Thrift Bright and Tracy, two sons, Gary D. Thrift Jr. and Jackie Stough, Kenneth Dean and Charlotte, one special sister, Debbie Melbourne and Demous, of MD, two brothers, Tommy Brashears of FL, and Michael Brashears of MD, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
