Clark Watkins, 79 of the Shiloh Community died on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Rutherford County he was the son of the late Virgil and Verlon Watkins. Clark was a US Navy Veteran serving for 4 years and was a retired insurance salesman for ISA. He was an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church serving as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Watkins and a daughter Denise Watkins Johnson. A joint funeral service and memorial service for Clark and Evelyn will be at Shiloh Baptist Church at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 8, 2013 with Rev. Donald Crawford, Rev. Wade Huntley and Rev. Michael Sepaugh officiating. Mr. Watkins will lie in state 30 mins prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
