Donald L. Waters, age 67, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at the Hospice House of Rutherford County A native of Rutherford County he was the son of the late Dan and Nellie Waters. He was a member of Sandy Level Baptist Church and had worked in furniture plants and did logging. He was preceded in death by a brother Sherman Waters. He is survived by his wife: Lora S. Waters. One Daughter: Kathy Sloan of Belmont, NC Three Sons: Randy Waters of Rutherfordton Donnie Waters of Concord, NC Gene Waters of Belmont, NC Four Sisters: Dorothy Hudgins and husband Robert of Rutherfordton Carolyn Bright and husband Gary of Spindale, Diane Pruitt and husband Charlie of Bostic Sarah Reed and husband Bobby of Rutherfordton Sister-in-law Wanda Waters Four Grandchildren One Great-Grandchild The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Sandy Level Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow in the church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Robert Hensley and Rev. Paul Toney officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery.
