Max Henry Head, age 70, of Harmon Street, Forest City, NC, died Sunday, December 19, 2010, at Mission Hospitals in Asheville, NC. Mr. Head was a member of Harmon Street Baptist Church and was retired from Coffey's Auto Sales as a mechanic and Schneider Textile Mills. He was first married to the late Irene Curtis Head for 45 years. He was also preceded in death by two brothers Robert Sherrill Head and George Head Jr. He is survived by his wife; Donnis Coffey Head of Forest City. Edwards, Bostic, NC Three Sons: Bobby Head, Ellenboro, NC Raymond Head, Spindale, NC Michael Teague, Forest City, NC Four Sisters: Fern Huntsinger, Forest City, NC Pat Gettys, Forest City, NC Shirley Holland, Forest City, NC Helen Taylor, Forest City, NC Two Brothers: Donald Head, Spindale, NC Reid Head, Rutherfordton, NC Half-sister: Diane Greene, Euless, TX Ten Grand Children Ten Great-Grand Children The family will recieve friends, Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 6:30- 8:30 PM at McMahan's Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM , Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Harmon Street Baptist Church in Forest City. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Rev. Gary Coffey and Rev. Wayne Toney will officiate. Interment will be at Campfield Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, Ellenboro , NC In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Rathbun Center 121 Sherwood Rd, Asheville, NC 28803. The family will be at Mr. Head's home, Harmon St., Forest City, NC. McMahan's Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
