Ronald Clyde Freeman, age 73, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Hospice House of Rutherford County. A native of Rutherford County, He was the son of the late Clyde Freeman and the late Louise Freeman. Mr. Freeman was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Rutherfordton, a graduate of Western Carolina University, and had served in the Army and Air Force Reserves. He is survived by his wife: Mary Freeman. One Daughter: Shannon Ashley- Redden, and husband Scott, Castle Rock, CO Two Sons: Ronald Clyde Freeman, Jr., and wife Nicole,Charlotte, NC Nicholas Preston Freeman, and wife Caroline, Omaha, NB Four Grand Children: Mary Carter Redden, Caroline Redden, Spencer Freeman and Lily Freeman The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in the Family Life Center of the First United Methodist Church, Rutherfordton. A memorial l service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Rutherfordton at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, October 4, 2011 with Dr. Jack Knoespel and Rev. James Daves officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to ; Hospice of Rutherford County, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
