Roy "Hoppy" Hopson, age 89, of Union Mills, NC, died Thursday, November 24, 2011, at Henderson Care Center in Forest City, NC. A native of Flora, MS, He was the son of the late Roy Edgar Hopson and the late Hettie Leona Whitehead Hopson, and the widower of the late Minnie Lorene Hopson. Mr. Hopson also served in the US Army during WWII. Survivors are; Two Daughters: Teresa Hopson LaRue, Union Mills, NC Pam Hopson Johnson, Union Mills, NC Six Sisters: Dot Russell, Jackson, MS Mary Catherine Robinson, Jackson, MS Alline Crowder, Canton, MS Betty Atkins, Bolton, MS Nancy Thompson, Hattiesburg, MS Billie Logan, Raymond, MS One Grand Child The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Monday, November 28, 2011 at McMahans Funeral Home. A funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 28, 2011 at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Howell officiating.
