William A. "Bill" Waters, age 68, of Green Hill died on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. He grew up in Roanoke Rapids NC and was the son of the late Fred and Mary Waters. Bill was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, a US Navy Veteran and retired as an engineer. He was preceded in death by a son, Jason Waters, grandson Levi Taylor and brothers Ned and John Waters and sister Nancy Cauthen. He is survived by his wife: Earline S. Waters. Two Daughters: Mary Hunt and husband Jerry of Rutherfordton, Jacqueline Hansen of Roanoke Rapids, NC One Son: William Andrew "Andy" Waters, Jr. of Hendersonville Grandchildren Salem Hunt of Rutherfordton and Erika Love of Roanoke Rapids. One Sister: Kathy Lattimore and husband Charles of Rutherfordton The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Rutherfordton. The funeral service will follow in the church at 2:00 PM with Rev. John Perry officiating. Burial with military honors accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard will be in the church cemetery.
