Ira Lee Briscoe Adkins, age 77, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Monday, February 4, 2013, at White Oak Manor Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Tommy Johnson and Effie Mae Guffey Johnson. She was a native of Rutherford County. She was a member of Oak Springs Baptist Church. Ira Lee was first married to the late Doyle Briscoe. She was preceded in death by a sister Lucy Vickers. She is survived by her husband Wayne Adkins. One Daughter: Crystal B. Holbert and her husband Wesley of Tryon Three Step-sons; Tim Adkins and his wife Tracy of Shiloh. John Adkins and his wife Rhonda of Mooresboro. Chris Adkins and his wife Lisa of Ruth. Two Step-daughters; Sheila Hall and her husband Curtis of Rutherfordton. Lisa Davis and her husband David of Caroleen. One Sister: Frances Heaton Bailey and her husband Bill of Morganton One Grandchild: Jessica Fitch and her husband Joe Three Great-Grandchildren; Morgan, Kyle and Mason. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, at McMahan's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at Oak Springs Baptist Church at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, February 6, 2013 with Rev. Don Hollifield and Rev. Darold Crawford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
