Miriam Briggs McKinney, of Spindale, NC, died Monday, October 17, 2011, at Hospice House of Rutherford County. A native of Savannah, GA., She was the daughter of the late Kyle Dewey Briggs and the late Thelma Elizabeth Eakes Briggs. She was a member of the Advent Lutheran Church of Spindale, A graduate of Mississippi State University, and a member and past regent of the DAR. She is survived by her husband of 57 years: Howard McKinney. Three Daughters: Toni Kyle Miller and husband Donald, Uniontown, OH Jane McKinney, Columbus, NC Kathy McKinney Greene, Columbus, NC Three Grand Children Steven Milton Greene, Boone, NC Kyle Elizabeth Reinhard and husband, Dan, Columbus, OH Jason Garrett Miller, Columbus, OH Three Great-Grand Children Harper Elizabeth Reinhard, Columbus, OH Lyla Mae Reinhard, Columbus, OH Jacob Allan Reinhard, Columbus, OH The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Advent Lutheran Church, Spindale. A funeral service will be held at the Advent Lutheran Church, Spindale at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 20, 2011 with Rev. Ronald Fink and Rev. Cecelia Beck. Interment will follow at Green Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Rutherford County, P.O.
