Phillip Guffey Obituary
Phillip Lloyd Guffey, age 74, of Davidson, NC, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC.
He was a native of Rutherford County, NC and the son of the late Rev. Jack Guffey and the late Elsie Elizabeth Edwards Guffey. He was of the Baptist faith, loved to fish and loved auto racing. Phillip also loved to garden and work in his yard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Margie Ellen Guffey, six brothers; Jack, Sam, Don, Walter, Hugh and Larry,one sister Betty Joyce Guffey and two step- sons; Jimmy and Kenneth Worley.
He is survived by:

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Saturday, July 9, 2016 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM, Saturday, July 9, 2016 with Rev. Bryan Guffey and Colton Guffey officiating. Interment will be at Piedmont Baptist Church Cemetery, Rutherfordton, NC. An online guest register/tribute wall is available at www.mcmahansfuneralhome.com.
