Reba Josephine West Ball, age 90, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Saturday, January 31, 2015, at North Carolina State Veterans Home in Black Mountain, NC. Reba was the daughter of the late Martin West and Dovie Minnie Russell West. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Everett G. Ball; sisters Mary West Pritchard and Nellie West Morgan; brothers Broadus West, Herman West, Britt West and Charlie West. She was a member of Cornerstone Church in Forest City. She was a US Navy Veteran of World War II. She is survived by Three Sons: Stephen Jeffery Ball and his wife Judy of Rutherfordton William David Ball of Canyon Country, CA Donald Edward Ball and his wife Dana of Jensen Beach, FL One Brother: Horace West of Rutherfordton Four Grandchildren: Dustin Ball, Tricia Whitener, Suzanne Ball and Carrie Ann Ball Five Great-grandchildren A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 14, 2015 at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel with Donald Edward Ball officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday, February 14, 2015 at McMahan's. Internment will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
