Retired Master Sgt. H R Bradford, 83, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012, at the Hospice House of Rutherford County. Born in Spindale he was the son of the late Naomi Bradford Tessneer and Roy W. Wray. He joined the U.S. Air Force where he served for 21 years including the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Upon retiring from the Air Force, He went to work for the U.S. Civil Service. He worked for the VA for 15 years before moving back to North Carolina. H R was a active member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Rutherfordton. He is survived by his wife; Beverley G. Bradford Sons Ted and wife Linda of Sealy Texas Robert and wife Maggie of Knoxville Tennessee Christopher of the home Daughter Lauren B. Smith and husband David of Flower Mound Texas Brother Jordan Wray of Corinth Texas Eight Grandchildren Nine Great Grandchildren The family will receive friends from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM, Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Rutherfordton. Funeral services will follow in the church at 3:00 PM with the Rev. Brent Frady officiating. Burial with military honors accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard will follow in the church cemetery.
