Sarah Louise Dewey

Louise Dewey, age 95, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Friday, August 7, 2020, at her granddaughters residence. 

She was the daughter of the late Henry Luther Ellenburg and the late Theo Doshie Ellenburg. Louise was a native of Rutherford county.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Albertus Dewey; her daughter Judy Bradley; brothers Grady Ellenburg, George Ellenburg, Harrison Ellenburg, Junior Ellenburg and James Ellenburg great-grandchildren; Kyle Short, Thomas Bradley and Synclair Goode.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Daniel Bradley, Sr. Six grandchildren: Cameron Bradley (Mary Lou Guffey), Pamela Bradley-Lee (Trent), Deanna Short (Greg), Wendy English (Reese), Daniel Bradley, Jr. (Josina), Megan Burchette (Tony) and four sisters: Melvina "Butch" Melton, Mary Moss, Martha White and Lura Wyatt.  twenty one great-grandchildren; thirteen great great-grandchildren. And many nieces and nephews and other family members.

The memorial service will be 4:00 PM Monday, August 10, 2020 at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Reese English officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM Monday, August 10, 2020 at McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
