Steve Ball

Stephen J. Ball was born in Utica, New York on June 28th, 1949. He passed away on November 13th, 2022, at his home in Rutherfordton. Steve was the second child of Lt. Everett Ball, (Saratoga, NY) and Reba J. West Ball, (Rutherford County).

          He was loved and appreciated by his two brothers, Bill, Don, his wife Judy, his children, Dusty and Trisha. His grandchildren are Mack, Jon, Julianna, Susanna, Auggie and Eva.

          Steve grew up in New York, California and mostly Rutherfordton. He attended RS Central High School and graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in Education. He taught school in Rutherford County. He became a sales trainer for the National Federation of Independent Businesses. He later became an entrepreneur and owner of Ball-Greenleaf Developers.

          Steve had a lifetime interest and love of music, physics,  guitar playing, outdoor sports, especially kayaking.

          A celebration of life will be held at Green Hill Baptist Church Family Life Center, December 27th. Please come and enjoy a cup of coffee. We will be receiving guests and friends at 3:30 p.m., followed by a short presentation at:
