Sylvia Arrowood Parton, age 95, of Bennett Road; Rutherfordton, NC, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at Oak Grove Health Care Center. She was daugter of the late Sam and Lula Melton Arrowood. Native of Rutherford County. Widow of Odell Parton. Sylvia was a member of Little White Country Church. Survivors include; One Daughter and husband: Jean Coffman and Bert, Winchester, TN One Son ;and wife: Douglas C. Parton and Gail, Rutherfordton, NC One Sister: Ruby Holland, Kinston, NC Three Brothers; and wives: Earl Arrowood, Rutherfordton, NC Chalmer (Chad) ;and Betty Arrowood, Rutherfordton, NC Hoyle Arrowood and Bonnie, Rutherfordton Five Grand Children; Robin Tomblin, David Parton, Ron Coffman, Jenny Coffman, Jonathan Parton twelve Great-Grand Children The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Thursday, at McMahan's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at Little White Country Church at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 10, 2011 with Rev. Paul Lane officiating. Interment will be at Little White Country Church Cemetery.
