Virgie Worsham Harris, age 94 of Rutherfordton, died Monday, September 14, 2015, at Willow Ridge Rehabilitation & Living Center in Rutherfordton. She was a native of McDowell County and the daughter of the late Jefferson William Worsham and the late Stella Brooks Worsham. She was a member of Green River Baptist Church for nearly 70 years, taught children's Sunday School for 50 years and was active with vacation bible school, the choir and various other committees within the church. Virgie was preceded in death by her husband Buford Harris. She is survived by : Two Sons: Ronald Harris and wife Amelia of Spartanburg, SC. Robert Harris of Green Creek One Sister: Margaret Lawing of Marion, NC One Brother: Tommy Worsham and wife Sandy of Denver, CO Three Grandchildren Three Great-Grandchildren The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Green River Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at Green River Baptist Church at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2015 with Rev. Gary Curtis officiating. Interment will be at Green River Baptist Church Cemetery.
