William L. Vetter, 88, passed away December 16, 2012 in Orange, Calif. He was an only child and born in Duluth Michigan on Oct 3rd 1924. Son of the late Jacob and Helen Vetter of Elmira, New York. Survived by sons William, Richard and Robert; daughter Cynthia Fuentes; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife Frances Searcy Vetter of 38 years of marriage from Lake Lure, NC. He proudly served in the Marine Corps in WWII and graduated from Delhi College in New York. He was a machine tool inspector for most of his life and retired from Baker Oil & Tools in Commerce. The Funeral service will be held at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 12:30 P.M. Saturday, December 22, 2012 with Rev. Dean Baughn officiating. Interment at Cane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake Lure with Military honors provided by Rutherford County Honor Guard.
