Yvonne Holland

Yvonne Holland, age 78, of Spindale, NC, went to be with The Lord, Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home.

A native of Rutherford County Yvonne was the daughter of the late John and Gertie Cothran. In addition to her parents Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Holland, and granddaughter, Maven Rollins. She was a lifelong member of Second Baptist Church where she had many roles. Yvonne was very active in WMU and Acteens. She was a church hostess for 10 years; her gift was serving others. Yvonne was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and she will be greatly missed.

Survivors include Vonda Kay Rollins and husband Arty, Eddie Holland and wife Jenifer, Drew "DJ" Cothran and his late wife Virginia, and Wayne Cothran and wife Debbie, special aunt, Violet Kelly, four grandchildren, Jeff Rollins and fiancé Jenna Harris, Noah Rollins, Jack Holland, and Evan Holland.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, Saturday, July 1, 2023 in the Family Life Center at Second Baptist Church of Rutherfordton. The funeral service will be at Second Baptist Church at 2:30 PM, Saturday, July 1, 2023 with Reverend Dr. Keith Stephenson and Brandon Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Rutherfordton, NC. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church, or Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
